What We Check First
This consultation is a focused check of your hair and goals. The appointment fee is $15 and the session lasts 15 MINUTES. During that time I will examine the condition of your hair, ask about your recent color history, and discuss your daily hair regimen so we can choose safe, realistic next steps.
After assessing texture, breakage risk, and product use, we decide whether to book a follow-up color service. The consultation is mandatory for first-time clients and for anyone I haven’t seen in 3 months, so we make sure the timing, technique, and commitment are right before any color service is scheduled.
Mandatory Policy and Deposit
A Color Consultation is required for first-time clients and for clients who haven’t been seen in three months. If you choose to book a color appointment after the consultation — or are required to pay before the scheduled color appointment — a $100 deposit is required to hold that booking. This policy secures time and resources for more complex color work.
The $15 consultation fee covers the professional review and planning done during the 15 MINUTES visit. The consultation provides the information we need to recommend appointment length, color approach, and any preparatory steps. If you have time constraints or after-school schedules, tell us so we can prioritize appropriate appointment times.
Scheduling and Local Factors
We book the color appointment that best fits your desired result and your schedule. Evening and weekend times fill quickly in South Bowie and the Evergreen Parkway area because many clients are commuters or parents with after-school activities. When you visit near Bowie Town Center or Old Town Bowie, plan ahead to secure a convenient slot.
Consultations spike in April, May, October, and November due to seasonal color changes—spring lightening and fall shifts to richer tones—so expect heavier demand then. Easy access from US-50 and the Beltway makes early or late appointments attractive for DC and Annapolis commuters, so booking earlier is recommended during those busy months.
